Background
Chatterpillars Speech and Language Therapy was established in 2012 by Clare Kitching with the aim to provide high quality, individualised speech and language therapy within the Hull and East Riding area. Chatterpillars offers independent speech and language therapy to children within their home environment or within an educational setting.
What is Speech and Language Therapy?
Speech and language therapy is specialist intervention to help your child to develop their speech, language and communication skills. This may involve helping them to:
- develop their attention and listening skills
- understand instructions
- develop a wider vocabulary
- use words to string sentences together
- develop the grammatical parts of sentences
- use speech sounds
- learn the rules of conversations
Therapy may involve one or a number of the above difficulties which will help your child to develop effective communication skills.
